The video was released in 2004. The video opens up with two children
looking at a book, when the book is opened we are sucked into the world, this
also implies that we are about to be told a story within the music video. The man
fighting for his life looks like run DMC’s Jam Master Jay fighting for his life.
There is a shot reverse shot that shows the man fighting for his life and
Eminem watching on in shock covered in blood. Every time Eminem talks about a
different confrontation the screen flashes white suggesting a flash back. For a lot of the video Eminem
is on his own showing his loneliness now that he has lost someone close to him. The lyric 'i'm sick of talking' has the visual of Eminem putting down the microphone.The video starts somewhere near the middle of the video, and the rest is a lot of flashbacks about different things including the shooting that put the man in hospital the video ends with his funeral with a children's choir singing, the child connote innocence and the message could be that even the most innocent people can turn whilst living in the ghetto. everyone starts to disappear around Eminem perhaps this is showing that anyone and everyone could end up dead who lives that lifestyle and the magazine covers saying 'enough is enough' shows that Eminem realises that it has become ridiculous and that he runs the risk of losing all of his friends or even him himself dying. At the end the video shows Tupac and Biggie, two rappers that were killed at the height of their career i believe Emienem is once again trying to show that it could happen to anyone.
